This major cultivates the high technology applied compound talents with entrepreneurial consciousness, capable of understanding basic theory of construction technology and management of building engineering, proficient in construction technology and management of projects and procedures, having good professional quality and cultural accomplishment, adapting to the construction and management construction projects and serving the first line of production, being engaged in technical work of construction projects, project organization and management, project supervision, economic accounting, preparation of bidding documents, etc.

The career area for this major: based in Suzhou, facing Jiangsu, serving the Yangtze River Delta;

The vocational post group for this major: construction related enterprises and public institutions, project construction worker as the main jobs, project cost officer, quality inspector, data member, measurer, safety member for employment positions.

1、knowledge structure:

 （1）Mastering the necessary basic knowledge of politics, law, foreign language, mathematics, computer application and so on.

（2）Mastering the professional basic knowledge of engineering drawing, housing architecture, building structure, building materials, building mechanics, soil mechanics, building engineering survey, building engineering CAD and so on.

（3）Mastering the professional knowledge of reinforced concrete structure, masonry structure and steel structure, ground and foundation, building construction technology and organization, project quota and budget and final accounts, project bidding and contract management and so on.

（4） Having the ability to use measuring instruments correctly to carry out  construction survey.

(5) Having the ability to calculate resources balance, prepare construction schedule plan, resource demand plan, control and adjustment plan for general engineering.

（6）Having the ability to calculate the quantities of general engineering.

（7）Having the ability to determine construction quality control points for general engineering, prepare quality control documents, and implement quality disclosure.

（8）Having the ability to determine the key points of construction safety prevention, prepare occupational health and safety and environment technical documents, implement safety disclosure.
