Silicon Lake College is a full-time boarding college approved by People's Government of Jiangsu Province and registered in Ministry of Education, one of the earliest private higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu province, the first private higher learning institution in Suzhou City, and the first higher learning institution in the history of Kunshan City.

         With the school-running history of 21 years, Silicon Lake College was established by the couple ,Dr.Liang Shuncai, an educator, an architect and Dr. Shi Baofeng in 1998. At the very beginning, according to Provincial Government's approval to set up the private Silicon Lake University, Silicon Lake College was constructed and developed on the requirements of a first-class university. In 2002, approved by Ministry of Education, the college was named the Silicon Lake College. It is located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, adjacent to Shanghai and Suzhou, just in the core of Yangtze River Delta region, the most vigorous and advanced economic region in China. The college develops and goes in accordance with its motto “responsibility, honor”, sticking to its school-running principle of “cultivating highly-compound technical and skilled personnel with ability and spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship". Established in Suzhou, the college focuses on cultivating well- qualified graduates with entrepreneurial talents, with its balanced and integrated system of disciplines & specialties in economy, management, arts, and education, etc.
