The School of Computer Science and Technology was founded in 1999 as the Department of Information Engineering at Silicon Lake College, which is one of the earliest departments of Silicon Lake College.In order to better serve the talent needs of software development, big data, cloud computing and information services in Kunshan, Suzhou, Jiangsu and Shanghai, the school of Computer Science and Technology has been established. The school has five specialties: Big Data Technology and Application, Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application, Computer Application Technology, Computer Network Technology and Mobile Internet Application Technology.At present, the school is applying for the undergraduate program of computer science and technology, and currently has nearly 500 students. The school has 15 faculty members, including 3 full professors, 2 doctoral supervisors, 2 master supervisors and 5 associate professors.It has gradually built an academic echelon with professors as academic leaders, which has a proper style of study, reasonable academic background, professional title and age structure, and a cadre of teachers who are proficient in teaching and training rules. The school always adheres to the guiding ideology of "teaching and research should be carried out simultaneously" and actively carries out teaching and scientific research.In the past 5 years, teachers have published more than 100 high-level scientific research papers, undertaken 3 national scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, obtained 9 national invention patents, more than 20 software Copyrights, and published 8 textbooks, including 2 state-level planned textbooks and one key textbook of Jiangsu Province. The school has eight laboratories including big Data Laboratory, Cloud Computing Laboratory, Intelligent Network Laboratory, Network System Laboratory, program Development and Testing Laboratory, Mobile UI Design Laboratory and Embedded development Laboratory, with total assets of nearly 6 million yuan.The experimental and practical training conditions are abundant, which can meet the needs of practical teaching and scientific research in the latest computer field. It embodies the "student-oriented" education and teaching philosophy, and effectively ensures the training quality of "senior application-oriented" talents.
