Recently, the award list of the 2022 Jiangsu Vocational College Teaching Ability Competition was announced. The teaching team of Zhou Xiaoyun, Yuan Gaoli, Wei Wei and Diao Jing from the School of Marxism in our university won the third prize.

Compared with previous years, the competition system has undergone great changes. Not only have the requirements for teacher teams and teaching video duration been raised in the preliminary stage, but also the proportion of teams entering the final has been reduced significantly, from 60% in previous years to 40%. The format of the final has also been changed from "face to face" to "live online". When the difficulty of the competition was greatly improved, the teaching team of the School of Marxism in our school broke through and entered the final. The team is led by Zhou Xiaoyun, assistant dean of the School of Marxism, and partners are Yuan Gaoli, Wei Wei and Diao Jing. The team has solid basic skills, rich teaching experience, reasonable structure, division of labor and cooperation, and each has its own strengths. It not only realizes the complementary advantages in teaching ability and experience, but also plays a good role in helping and guiding. During the preparation process, the team members devoted themselves to the competition, carefully studied and analyzed the competition documents, standardized the competition requirements, and constantly improved the classroom teaching details. From the revision of the teaching implementation report, the improvement of display resources, to the teaching display of each teaching plan, they repeatedly deliberated every link, kept improving the simulation exercise, optimized the division of labor of team members, and worked against time to polish the works. The Academic Affairs Office organized experts inside and outside the school to strengthen the guidance. The participating teachers gave up a lot of rest time, actively prepared for the competition, timely responded to the difficulties, humorously listened to the experts' opinions, and constantly polished their works, which fully reflected the craftsman spirit of excellence and showed good style and teaching quality.

Finally, she was calm and cooperative in the final competition, showing clear teaching ideas and innovative teaching characteristics, and reflecting the professional quality and spirit of our teachers.

In this competition, ideological and political teachers closely focused on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people, which not only tempered the basic teaching skills of young teachers, but also stimulated the enthusiasm of young teachers to update their educational concepts and grasp modern teaching methods, and helped them to continuously improve their comprehensive quality, professional level and innovative ability.
